Description
English: Detail from a 1797 map of the Holy Roman Empire showing the territory of the Free Imperial City of Goslar (near center) and surrounding region. Tiny Goslar was tucked between the Prince-Bishopric of Hildesheim to the north and the Principality of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel to the south, east and west. Cropped out of a 24-map series on Germany published by map publisher Franz Anton Schrämbl in 1797, and titled Neueste Generalkarte von Deutschland in XXIV Blättern.
