| Description |
English: Red field, Netherton Shadows lengthen across a freshly-prepared field of the typical red Devon soil. Geologically, the entire area between here and the coast is composed of Permian New Red Sandstone.
Seen from a gateway on Hackney Lane, close to its junction with the Newton - Shaldon road (behind the hedge on the right). Netherton is hidden in the valley ahead. The row of houses left of centre are at Cross Park, in SX8971. |
