English: When subtracting 8 from 16, the elementary method indicates that one cannot calculate 6 - 8, thus, one must regroup the 1 from 16 into the 6, leading to the new calculation of (10 + 6) - 8 which is the same as the original 16 - 8. Therefore, one will need to write again 16 - 8.
