Description
Español: “A la gloriosa memoria de los caídos en la masacre del 28 de octubre de 1931 en su 50 aniversario”. Durante el desarrollo de la fiesta Patronal del presente año, el Subprefecto Feijo prohibió la corrida de toros a los pobladores; sin embargo, la población igual la realizó. Era en el gobierno de Sánchez Cerro y la actitud de los pobladores fue la excusa que tomó el Subprefecto para acusarlos de rebeldes y apristas. El suceso dejó 14 muertos y 35 heridos, en suma, habían encarcelados entre ellos el profesor Fabián Vadillo, que en 1949 refugió a Haya de la Torre tras la persecución aprista por parte de Odría.
