Summary
[edit]DescriptionRam Pump in Ridgewell - geograph.org.uk - 69302.jpg |
English: Ram Pump in Ridgewell. This picture was taken in August 1975 just to the south of the parish Church in Ridgewell Essex. It shows the source of a Tributary to the River Colne that has its confluence in Great Yeldham. The wooden fence on the left of the picture protects the spring and the ram pump that provided water to a house in the locality. There had been a pond to the right of the picture under the trees but this had dried up due to the long hot summer. No one would have believed at the time the following summer would be longer hotter and dryer. Click on the link to see the scene 246938 . |
