Summary
[edit]DescriptionRaised beach, Traigh nam Feannag - geograph.org.uk - 1448294.jpg |
English: Raised beach, Traigh nam Feannag. Traigh nam Feannag - The tidal beach of the crows http://www.theisleofjura.co.uk/web_365/Traigh%20nam%20Feannag.html
Very similar viewpoint in this link which shows the full extent of this large and most westerly of Jura's raised beaches. The raised beach is an area of sea-rounded boulders which has largely resisted all attempts at plant colonisation. Across the Sound of Islay, the white buildings of Caol Ila distellery 470203, align with the Carragh an t-Sruith lighthouse on Jura's west shore 859875. |
