[edit]DescriptionRainbow, Shadow and Trees (6946560262).jpg |
Last Half of 2011 Near Shandon or Creston, California. I stopped the car, got out and took a photo with a 50 mm lens. I changed to a 70-210 mm zoom lens and took a couple more photos, one at 95 mm and this one at 116 mm. The composition worked perfectly. This is an interesting application of the rule of odd numbers. Although there are four trees, they really appear as three and one, due to the clustering and shadow. This was one lucky shot and worth stopping the car for. Apparently, there is a shrub at the end of the rainbow, not a pot of gold as was previously thought. Camera: Nikon D700 Lens: 116 mm (70-210 mm) Date taken: 2011-11-06 ISO: 200 Shutter speed: 1/250 s Aperture: F 8 |
