Summary
[edit]DescriptionRailway viaduct across the River Esk - geograph.org.uk - 1770921.jpg |
English: Railway viaduct across the River Esk This photograph shows a view of a section of the (now disused) railway viaduct that used to carry trains across the River Esk. It is now used as part of a pedestrian walkway that runs between Whitby and Scarborough. The River Esk can just be seen flowing beneath the seventh, eighth and ninth arches of the viaduct. The picture was taken looking in a north-north-easterly direction towards the A171 road bridge. |
