| Description |
English: Railway Wagon, Blackhopebyre Rig. An incongruous sight at about 440m up the hill, presumably used by the farmer to store feedstuffs for the sheep. This area has a number of old railway wagons in various states of (dis)repair used for this purpose, but most are close to the road. Goodness knows how this one was hauled to its present site. This type of trailer would have been hauled by a 'Mechanical Horse'-type road tractor, such as the Scammell Scarab. |
