THE TERM 'GENOCIDE', AND INITIATED AND CO-WROTE
THE CONVENTION ON THE PREVENTION AND PUNISHMENT
OF THE CRIME OF GENOCIDE, PROCLAIMED ON 9 DECEMBER
1948 BY THE UNITED NATIONS ORGANIZATION.
HE WAS NOMINATED NUMEROUS TIMES
FOR THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE.

THIS PLAQUE WAS FUNDED
BY THE POLISH INSTITUTE OF INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS
ON THE 60th ANNIVERSARY OF THE PROCRLAMATION
OF THE UN CONVENTION
