Nederlands: Indienststelling van "Jacob van Heemskerk" te Portsmouth door Koningin Wilhelmina. Ontvangst van Koningin door premier Gerbrandy en vice-admiraal Furstner. De heer Rijkens biedt namens het comité Neerlands Vrijheidsdag een oorkonde aan ter herinnering aan de viering van de 60ste verjaardag van Wilhelmina, in Engeland. Uit 46 landen ontving het comité bijdragen voor haar gedenkboek. Overhandigt oorkonde aan haar van 'Jac. van Heemskerk'. Volgt voorlezing oorkonde. Mededeling omtrent stichting Nederlandse Vrijheidsdag ter blijvende herinnering aan de viering van de 31e augustus als dag van de vrijheid. Koningin dankt. Getuigt van onwankelbaar geloof in zegeviering goede zaak en spreekt vertrouwen uit in de Koninklijke Marine.
English: The collection of Broadcasts from Radio Oranje (Radio Orange) contains a selection of the radio broadcasts that were transmitted between 1940 and 1945. They were broadcasts created by the Dutch Government in exile in London, transmitted to encourage and inform the people of the Netherlands whilst under occupation. This digitized audio file is a so called semi-finished product. During digitization an attempt was made to get as much detail from the original source as possible. This can sometimes mean that there is still a need for post-production to get the best possible end-product for human consumption.
