Italiano: PULEGGIA PER TESSERE - Puleggia con rocchetto. Nell'appendice superiore foro per agganciarla al telaio; sulla superficie incisioni a motivi lineari.

L'etnologo Marcel Griaule riferendo delle sue conversazioni con il vecchio dogon Ogotemmeli, ricollega la tessitura al mito: ""Il Settimo genio espulse dalla bocca ottanta fili di cotone che ripartì fra i suoi denti superiori utilizzati come quelli del pettine di un telaio. Formò così l'armatura dispari dell'ordito. Fece lo stesso con i denti inferiori per preparare i fili pari. Aprendo e chiudendo le mascelle, il genio imprimeva all'ordito i movimenti che compiono i licci del telaio. E poiché tutto il suo volto partecipava all'opera, gli ornamenti del naso rappresentavano la carrucola dalla quale pendono i licci; e la spola non era altro che l'ornamento del labbro inferiore.

Mentre i fili si incrociavanoe si separavano, le due punte della lingua forcuta del genio spingevano alternativamente il filo della trama e il tessuto si avvolgeva fuori della bocca, nel soffio della seconda parola rivelata.""
