| Description |
English: R. This 'R' sign indicates the road is part of a ring road. Great Eastern Street is part of London's inner ring - see 1112124. The road is now two way, as is Old Street (eastern part) and Shoreditch High Street. Previously all three were all one-way roads forming a one-way system where the traffic moved clockwise around the 'Shoreditch triangle'. [I am grateful to Peter Thwaite for this information.] |
