Public domain According to the Romanian Law on Copyright and Neighboring Rights Law no. 8/1996 of March 14, 1996 with further amendments Chapter 3 Article 9 the following documents shall not benefit from the legal protection accorded to copyright:

Therefore this image is assumed to be in the public domain worldwide, although some of the above categories may be subject to usage restrictions within Romania.

Scut despicat; cîmpul din dreapta tăiat; în cartierul din stînga, în cîmp albastru, un soldat roman argintiu, stînd în picioare și ținînd în mîna dreaptă o lance, iar în cea stîngă un scut; în cartierul din dreapta sus, în cîmp argintiu, un spic de grîu auriu, un brad verde și un strugure auriu cu frunză verde; în cartierul din dreapta jos, în cîmp roșu, profil de uzină cu trei coșuri fumegînd, încadrate de patru construcții, toate argintii.

În partea centrală a stemei este așezat un scut mai mic avînd stema Republicii Socialiste România, pe un fond format în stînga de steagul partidului și în dreapta de steagul țării.

Denumirea județului este înscrisă cu litere de aur pe o eșarfă roșie, în afară scutului și anume la baza acestuia.
