[edit]DescriptionRKO backlot main hotel - west entrance.jpg |
2D image, exported from a 3D model, of a building that once existed, until 1976, on the now demolished RKO Studios backlot called Forty Acres. Atypical of most sets at 40 Acres, this structure was a complete building, with a practical roof and some interior sets on the main floor. The building was used as a film set and appeared on television's The Andy Griffith Show as Walker's Drug Store. It was featured in the 1949 film noir classic The Set-Up as the Hotel Cozy; and appeared again, although not as extensively, on Star Trek's episode of Miri as the Rusk Hotel. Showing the west entrance of the building as it once stood, the 3D model was constructed in SketchUp 6.0 in 2008 by Bill Wrigley. |
