[edit]DescriptionRF-4B catching wire USS Midway 1977.jpg | A U.S. Marine Corps McDonnell RF-4B-24-MC Phantom II (BuNo 153093) of Marine photo reconnaissance squadron VMFP-3 Eyes of the Corps landing on the aircraft carrier USS Midway (CV-41), circa 1976/77. A six-plane detachment of VMFP-3 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing Five (CVW-5) aboard the Midway from 1975 to 1984. The RF-4B 153093 was finally retired to the AMARC as 8F0338 on 9 August 1989. |
