Norsk bokmål: I følge Norsk flims ukerevy nr. 23, 1942: «NS har holdt et todagers stevne i Skien. Hovedinteressen samlet seg om Førerens besøk. Foran rådhuset hvor den offisielle mottagelse skulle finne sted, stod en avdeling av Telemark hirdfylking oppstilt under ledelse av fungerende regimentsfører [Ring] Tonstad. I bystyresalen ble Føreren først overrakt en blomsterbukett av en kjekk jente fra Småhirden. Fylkesmann Knudsen [konsul Christen Knudsen ifølge Aftenposten 12.10.1940], Skiens ordfører, fylkesfører Dahl [Olav Dalen?], ønsket [...]» Ifølge Aftenposten 9. mars 1942 holdt Quisling tale i et stort offentlig møte i Parkbiografen i Skien lørdag 7. mars dette året.


Nasjonal Samling, forkortet NS, var et norsk politisk parti som ble grunnlagt av Vidkun Quisling i 1933 og ble oppløst ved frigjøringa i 1945. Ideologisk fulgte partiet den tyske no:nasjonalsosialismen tett, og NS ble støtteorganisasjon for den tyske okkupasjonsmakta i Norge under andre verdenskrig.
