Gilbert Archey, New Zealand Field Artillery, who later became Director of Auckland War Memorial Museum. unlined cloth; central rectangle with red border and St John's Maltese Cross inside a circular band with embroidered name, "Redcliffs Christchurch New Zealand’; the band has four finials bearing embroidered badges of the New Zealand Field Artillery, New Zealand Infantry, New Zealand Mounted Rifles and New Zealand Engineers; four pairs of crossed flags (Union Jacks and NZ Blue Ensigns) in corners of rectangle; remainder of cloth divided into squares with signatures arranged in groupings; with red border at outer edge; signatures include names of servicemen and family members
