| Description |
Golden Retriever Puppy with "Puppy Strangles" also called Juvenille Cellulitis. Sometimes it is also refered to as a kind of staph infection.. She was very sick.. Had sores all over her face, in her ears and on her eyes.. Her lympnodes in her neck were severly swollen hence the name "Puppy Strangles" as it can actually strangle the puppy from the lympnodes being so huge. She was sick for weeks and had to take steroids and antiobiotics.. Puppy stangles is kind of rare i think, i didn't see any articles refering to this illness, so i thought i would post a picture. This is an illness that effects puppies only.. She was 8 weeks old when she started showing signs of the illness.. Photo by myself, Trisha Shears. |
