Summary
[edit]DescriptionPupiSiciliani.jpg |
English: The Taormina Information Office has puppets that stand several feet tall and are used to tell traditional stories. There is a rich tradition of puppetry in Sicily and puppet theatres are found all over the island.
The information office is in Palazzo Corvaja, in the 11th century the Arabs reinforced the city's defences by building this tower. The tower was extended at the end of the 13th century with the addition of the area on the left of the entrance portal. Together with this new wing, a staircase was built leading from the courtyard to the first floor. |
