Notes InfoField | English: Gothic revival lighting device. Victorian brass and iron ecclesiastic chandelier or corona lucis by Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin (1812-1852). Possibly made by John Hardman and Co, the Birmingham metalworking firm that produced most of Pugin's furnishings and decorations (a double corona lucis (1846) designed by Pugin hangs in the church of our Blessed Lady and Saint Athousus, Blackmore Park, Essex, England ; see also this version by Pugin). |
