Description
English: This figure shows the principle of the planetary models according to the work of Claudius Ptolemy. It shows the thee centres (center of the world, center of the deferent and center of the equant) and how the are used to simulate the motion of a planet within the ecliptic. The forward and partial backward move of a planet is shown.
