Recognized by sight: cap color dies to buff olive yellow. Taste and smell non distinctive Based on microscopic features: spores = 9.5 × 5.5 Cheilocystidia: rare, but present Pleurocystidia: common/abundant Basidioles: ballon shaped, short and fat. Basidia: 4 spored Pileocystidia: none Caulocystidia: none Based on chemical features: KOH=black on cap and black on gills no coloration on stipe.
