Caracals are one of my favorite cats. They were once considered closely related to lynx, but are now known to be closer to servals. They are usually placed in their own genus: Caracal. This is at Cat Tales Zoological Park in Mead, Washington. They specialize in rescue of big cats, bears, and other animals in need of homes.
