Summary

[edit]
Description
English: "Prinztronic Tournament Colour Programmable 2000" pong-derivative games console. (This is the unmodified scan of the original negative made commercially at time of processing).

Multicherry (uploader) says: "This is a video games console, probably from the late 1970s or thereabouts. It came with a cartridge of 10 Pong-derived games, although apparently others were available (I never had any). Prinztronic and Prinz were (I believe), an own-brand of the Dixons electronics chain in the UK during the 1970s. (Dixons' UK stores themselves have now been rebranded as "Currys Digital"). "

Arosio Stefano adds : "As stated here[1] and here[2] Multicherry's cart was based around the AY-3-8610 chip and the console doesn't have a central CPU because every cartridge contains a General Instruments (GI) chip AY-3-86xx or AY-3-87xx (Pong on a chip). These chips contain most of the game system circuits. So we can say that the console belongs to the first era of consoles."
