Description
Español: El juego de garrote venezolano, es un sistema de defensa personal criollo del que hay vestigios en la historia venezolana desde hace más de 300 años. Este arte de ataque y defensa se ha convertido en un patrimonio cultural que se fortalece gracias a la práctica de los jóvenes y a la dedicación de sus maestros por preservar esta tradición. Surgido como el único método de defensa personal de origen venezolano aún vigente, el juego de garrote conserva la tradición ética valerosa del humilde campesino venezolano, quien encontró en el sencillo palo una forma de defender su cultura, su tierra y su integridad.
