Summary
[edit]DescriptionPottery Making in Bangladesh.jpg |
English: Pottery, an age-old trade, is done only by the people of the "Pal" community (Potters Community) of Hinduism. For centuries, they have lived off their pottery skills. Even today, their pots are in huge demand throughout Bangladesh. They collect clay from the ground before shaping it with their hands, drying it in the sun, firing it into the kilns, and finally painting the finished pottery. The potters say that they are trying hard to save the ancient trade which has lost its glory due to lack of attention and care. |
