Description

Sent by a nurse, Margaret Ripley, to her sister* back in England.

As far as I can tell (corrections and additions welcome as this one was tricky!) this reads: "29.12.14 Many thanks for letter received today . Hope you all had a pleasant Xmas in spite of all. So glad you have been looking after mother. I am sure the rest has done her good & she always enjoys having Derek. All best wishes for the New Year. Mar"

  • note the card is addressed to Mrs Ripley but at the address where she had previously sent cards to her sister. And in the card she talks about looking after mother, so I am assuming this is also to her sister Miss Ripley
