Description

Sent by a nurse, Margaret Ripley, to her mother back in England. Another card redirected from the family home to Eastbourne, suggesting that her mother and sister had gone away together.

As far as I can tell (corrections and additions welcome) this reads: "Very quiet here no work. Damp nasty weather, walked into town last night and tram back. Enjoyed another bath - small India rubber one of Todds[?] but better than none. No letter yet from you seems ages since we came here. 3.45 back in our little house finished work! for the day & was off 11.15 to 2.45. We do as we like about coming off sister not feeling well & very upset at want of work. Love Mar"
