English: Postcard of the early 20th century, showing the building of the Alfândega (Customs house), in the city of Lagos, on southern Portugal. This building is mostly known as Mercado de Escravos (Slave Market), because this location was previously used, during the 15th century, as a place of auction for african slaves. |
