teighteen months have brought this Closet into such perfection, especially the improvedDirect Water-Way and Regulating Side-Screw Valve, that there is a difficulty in meetingthe demand. Upwards of 1,500 of these Closets are now in use, and giving groat satisfac-tion. This success has brought some small imitators into the field, who, while pirating theprinciple, and making some alteration in details, fancy they have ground for calling suchmodified piracies original inventions. Any parties selling or fitting up such Closets, whichare infringements, will be liable to heavy damages. Parties have already, at the instanceof Mr. Ross, the Patentee, been served with legal notices for infringement of his patentrights.
