Post Medieval asymmetrical double loop buckle frame
Description
English: A cast copper alloy buckle frame. The frame is double looped and asymmetrical in shape and has a convex cross section. It has a narrowed central bar with a slight knop at each end, subdividing the frame into a rectangular loop and a 'D' shaped loop. There is leaf- or feathjer shaped projection on the outer edge of the 'D' shaped loop whith is decorated with an incised mid rib and diagonal lines extending from it.. The corners of the outer edge of the rectangular loop are decorated with incised lines and there are two lines at the midpoint of this side marking the pin rest.The reverse is flat and undecorated.
