Post Medieval Buckle
Description
English: Fragment of the edge of an unusual post-medieval copper alloy openwork buckle frame, almost certainly double-looped. Lozengiform arrangement of two undecorated inward-pointing hearts alternating with two outward-pointing hearts with engraved curvilinear decoration, broken stumps of missing outside edge. Openwork knop broadly similar to that on Whitehead 2003, 85 no. 532. Length 22mm. Surviving width 25mm. 3mm thick. c.1620 - c.1680.
