Post-medieval toy: Toy firearm
Description
English: A cast copper alloy Post-medieval miniature firearm. The toy gun has been cast in one piece and is almost complete; it comprises the hexagonal barrel, powder pan, ram-rod holder (incomplete) and the stock and butt of the gun; the butt is formed of a large octagonal knop. The top and sides of the barrel is decorated with meandering lines of punched dots. Some active bronze disease is present. This style of toy gun was popular during the mid 17th century, c. AD 1600-1640.
