Post-medieval asymmetrical buckle
Description
English: A copper-alloy buckle of post-medieval date. Asymmetrical buckle, probably dating from the 16th to late 17th century AD. One half of the frame is D-shaped and has a lobe (hollow on the underside) projecting from midway down the outer edge. The other half of the frame is rectangular and has a single solid projecting lobe on each corner. The two halves are separated by the bar, which also has a single hollow lobe at each end. The object is damaged and corroded. It measures 32.1mm long by 30.4mm wide and 5.8mm thick. It weighs 12.34g.
