English: Portsmouth Cathedral. The first church was built on the site in the 12th Century, named after Thomas a Becket. Rebuilding took place after the English Civil War. The church finally became a cathedral in the 20th Century, underwent much rebuilding and extension and also withstood WW2 damage. |
