Summary
[edit]DescriptionPortsmouth Bound - geograph.org.uk - 1527709.jpg |
English: Portsmouth Bound 33011 approaches Severn Tunnel Junction station with a Cardiff to Portsmouth service. These services were loco hauled until May 1988 when they were converted to sprinter dmu's.
Behind the train is the loco stabling point, inhabited on this day by a class 31, two class 37's and three class 47's (one of which is hiding behind the fuel tanks). The depot has closed and the tracks have been removed. See 1078197 by Roger Cornfoot for the view as it is now. Behind the depot the tower of 667568 can be seen - click on the link to see a photo of the church by Colin Madge |
