English: Alma Vida is a completely woven giantess, most probably unique in her kind. The materials used is willow. Giants are there already for many years, are part of our cultural heritage and a lot of them are recognised by Unesco Immaterial Heritage. Alma is created to become ambassadrice for German Basketry at the International Basketry Fair in Lichtenfels, Germany. She promoots the cultural heritage of Belgium and Germany and the future of basketmaking, which is female. Artisan : Lieve Lieckens, Belgium
Nederlands: Alma Vida is een volledig geweven reuzin, waarschijnlijk uniek in haar soort. Het gebruikte materiaal is wilg. Reuzen maken al vele jaren deel uit van ons cultureel erfgoed, en veel ervan zijn erkend door Unesco Immaterieel Erfgoed. Alma is gecreëerd om ambassadrice voor de Duitse mandenmakerij te worden op de nl:Internationale Mandenmakerijbeurs van Lichtenfels, Duitsland. Ze promoot het culturele erfgoed van België en Duitsland en de toekomst van de mandenmakerij, die een vrouwelijk ambacht is. Mandenvlechtster : Lieve Lieckens, België.
