Portrait posthume de Charles-Simon Favart par sa belle-fille Marie-Geneviève Favart, exposé au Salon de 1800 sous le titre Portrait de feu le C. Favart père, composant sa comédie de l’Anglais à Bordeaux (no 141), avec la description suivante dans le livret de l'exposition : "C’est à l’instant où il trouve les vers suivans : / Tandis que tristement ce globe qui balance / Me fait compter les pas de la mort qui s’avance, / Le français, entraîné par de légers désirs, / Ne voit sur ce cadran qu’un cercle de plaisirs."
