Description
English: Portland Head Light, located in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, is the state’s oldest lighthouse, first lit in 1791. Standing on the rugged shores of Fort Williams Park, it offers stunning views of Casco Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. The lighthouse, known for its iconic white tower and red-roofed keeper's house, remains an active aid to navigation. Visitors can explore the park's walking trails, historical ruins, and a maritime museum in the former keeper’s quarters.
