Description
English: Bug Light Park in South Portland, Maine, is home to the Portland Breakwater Light, or "Bug Light." Originally built in 1855 and redesigned in 1875 with a distinctive Greek Revival style, this small lighthouse guided ships safely into Portland Harbor. Today, the park offers scenic views, walking trails, and a World War II shipbuilders’ memorial.
