Summary
[edit]DescriptionPortishead Pier railway station (site), Somerset (geograph 6976650).jpg |
English: Portishead Pier railway station (site), Somerset Opened in around 1870 as an extension of the Bristol & Portishead Railway, later part of the Great Western Railway, this station only had occasional passenger traffic in connection with steamers, and closed around 1903 to passengers. View west as the site, occupied by the 2-storey building, on almost the same site as the original which was demolished in 2014. The line had come from the left and the buffers had been in front of the original building. |
