Summary
[edit]DescriptionPort a' Ghlinne landing - geograph.org.uk - 1750407.jpg |
English: Port a' Ghlinne landing This was about the most amenable landing spot for a sea kayak along a whole stretch of coast between Loch Spelve and Loch Buie, and would have been difficult with much more than the foot or so of gentle swell which was running. The smallest shingle and least exposure to waves from the beam were to be found by landing right in the outflow of the Glenlibidil Burn. Once ashore, it would have made an adequate camping spot (fairly level ground, and no shortage of fresh water), and offers the possibility of a walking escape to the Loch Buie road in emergency - a useful thing to know on this fairly committing bit of coast. |
