Summary
[edit]| Description |
English: Campanile, Strand Street, Port Elizabeth. Modelled on a Venetian campanile, this tower was built to commemorate the arrival of the 1820 Settlers. For many years it dominated the entrance to the harbour until overshadowed by the settlers freeway. But seen from the Donkin Reserve, it is still a notable landmark.
