Summary

[edit]
Description The Porsche 908 LH Coupe was a race car produced by Porsche from 1968 to 1971. It was the successor to the Porsche 907, and was the first Porsche race car to use a monocoque chassis. The 908 was originally built as a closed-coupe to compete in the 1968 24 Hours of Le Mans. But due to new regulations, Porsche was forced to change the 908 into an open-top Spyder. The 908 Spyder made its debut at the 1968 Targa Florio, where it won the race. The 908 LH Coupe was powered by a 3.0L flat-eight engine, which produced around 360 hp. The 908 LH Coupe was successful in racing, winning the 24 Hours of Daytona, the 12 Hours of Sebring, and the Nürburgring 1000 km.
