A view of the Pontifical College, Josephinum in Columbus, Ohio. The Josephinum was established by Msgr. John Joseph Jessing in 1888 when four boys expressed interest in becoming a priest so he opened a seminary. To ensure it's future, Jessing asked and was granted by the pope to make the institution and pontifical institution, changing the name from the Collegium Josephinum to Pontifical College Josephinum. The seminary relocated in 1931 to it's current location of 7625 North High Street. |
