Français : Pont Jacques-Cartier en 1926
« À partir de 1926, plusieurs expropriations déciment le quartier ouvrier de Sainte-Marie. On commence même à construire dans les cours des résidences expropriées, mais non démolies. Cette photo, malheureusement un peu inclinée, nous permet vraiment de voir l’urgence à laquelle se faisait l’érection de la structure. Je crois fortement que c’est la rue de Montigny à l’avant-plan avec la voiture et le cheval. Cette rue aujourd’hui est le Boulevard de Maisonneuve. » – Martin Bérubé
