English: Pomacea canaliculata, Ampullariidae, Golden Apple Snail; Diameter 8 cm; native to tropical and subtropical South America, today widespread in tropical and subtropical regions, also kept in aquariums (the figured shell is from an aquarium); Shell of own collection, therefore not geocoded.
Français : Coquille de Pomacea canaliculata (Ampullariidae). L'espèce est originaire d’Amérique du Sud tropicale et est aujourd'hui présente dans l'ensemble des zones tropicales et subtropicales dans le monde. L'espèce est aussi élevée en aquarium, comme l'individu qui a donné cette coquille.
