English: 231117-N-AN659-2007 NAVAL AIR STATION SIGONELLA, Italy (Nov. 17, 2023) – Lt. Evan Purdy (left), a U.S. Naval Aviator attached to Patrol Squadron (VP) 46, the ‘Grey Knights,’ trades patches with Lt. Col. Robert Kozlowski (center), Flight Safety, and Lt. Cmdr. Sebastian Rak (right), Commander of the PKW IRINI inside a P-8A Poseidon at Naval Air Station (NAS) Sigonella, Italy, Nov. 17, 2023. The 30th Kaszubski Air Squadron of the Polish Navy, from 44 Navy Air Base Siemirowice, is deployed to NAS Sigonella and came to visit VP-46 to discuss system capabilities, mission and partnership. VP-46 is currently deployed to the U.S. 6th Fleet in support of naval operations to maintain maritime security and stability, deter aggression and defend U.S., allied and partner interests.
