Notes | A vessel in the shape of a boat, decorated with floral ornament and angel heads. In July 1963 a ceramic pot containing the vessel, 5 silver spoons, a silver belt and a dagger sheath was discovered while excavating for the foundation of a house on the Market Square in Nieszawa. Some of them were made by Toruń goldsmiths in the first half of the 17th century. They were most probably hidden during invasion of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth by neighbouring countries known as the Deluge (1655-1660). | |||||||||||||||||||||||
